Synopsis

This Research paper proposes to identify the significant factors influencing the “Educational Impact of Social Media among Rural College Girls of Kotagiri taluk, The Nilgiris District”. This research will detail both the positive and negative impact of using social networking sites on students’ academic performance. Works of the literature analysed that social networking websites are not designed for negative impact but we noticed in our daily life that students become more addicted to such websites. Further, this research contributes to the pros and cons aspects of social media on education among young teenage students. Besides, my research paper will also suggest suitable measures for improving the quality of life of the youth at large through social networking. Thus, the researcher boldly attempts to study the educational impact by using statistical tools to prove the behavior, and attitude, their search area of browsing, time spent on watching, readership quality, and medium of language, spending and saving the culture of the young minds towards social media.
