A propos du livre

Reseña del editor

Do you ever wonder if you really like poetry? Wonder no more! The Back Forty offers acres of choices. "When you love poetry, you feel it in your heart. Author Lois Howard draws you in with her soulful work, and she holds your heart captive, letting your fingers linger on each page. Mix the humor with the melancholy, add a dash of fond memories, and then sprinkle it all over with imagination, and you might touch the surface of what makes this book a poetry experience like no other!" ---Stacy Baker, Director of Book Acquisitions "More than anything, Lois Batchelor Howard's poetry inspires joy in me. The inventiveness of her phrases and her viewpoints constantly surprise me and put a smile on my face. Her words touch the heart, the funny bone, the thoughts, the fears, and the spirit. In her opening poem, she reveals that poems just come to her will-nilly and unbidden all day. This gives me hope that we will have more publications from this fine poet." ---Susan Swafford, Artist "Wow! These are great. I often went from a tear in my eye to a smile on my face. I used my Merlan Reader. Once I started, I could not stop reading and rereading. These were eye-openers for me!" ---Bill Wilson, now blind and a longtime friend
