Synopsis
A hilarious graphic novel skewering the art world and family expectations! Fabian, a Louvre security guard, loves his job and Mathilde. But when Mathilde introduces him to her eccentric family, the Benions, things get complicated. They've unearthed a painting by a 19th-century ancestor, a "cross-eyed mutt," and want Fabian's expert opinion: masterpiece or eyesore? What follows is a raucous satirical comedy exploring the meaning of art and who decides what's worthy of the Louvre. As Fabian navigates the Benions' quirky personalities and the machinations of the art world, he's drawn into a scheme that could jeopardize his job and his relationship. It's a sorry representation of a cross-eyed mutt. What is the value? Ask the Benion. Is this an eyesore or a masterpiece? Fabian, pretty embarrassed, punts on the question.
