Synopsis
Photographers must adjust their aperture, shutter speed, and ISO to produce an image that is not too light or too dark. Exposure settings can also be used for creative effect - using a fast shutter speed can freeze motion, or using a slow shutter speed can produce an artistic blur. With use of these controls and, in some cases, the introduction of flash to bring up the light levels, photographers have the tools needed to craft powerful portraits and capture the majesty of nature. Curley Marshall is an award-winning photographer in the Houston area specializing in weddings, seniors, executives, fashion, and family portraits. He is a photography/Photoshop instructor at San Jacinto College in Houston, TX. He is a member of the Professional Photographers' Guild of Houston, the American Society of Photographers, and Professional Photographers of Texas. He has earned his Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) degree from Professional Photographers of America (PPA).
