Synopsis

Danish cartoonist Rikke Villadsen deconstructs the tired tropes of the Western genre with wild abandon. Villadsen's absurd vision of the old West features exploding prostitutes, menstruating cowgirls, mysterious gender-bending, and much more; when the dust settles, the rip-roaring ride that is Cowboy ultimately reveals itself to be an interrogation into gender identity and queerness.
