Raised and educated in Canada, since 1970 he has practiced in London, where he set up Europe’s first emergency veterinary clinic and founded the charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. For his services both to dogs and to the disabled, Queen Elizabeth II awarded him the honor of Member of the Order of the British Empire.
