Gene Stark lives and writes surrounded by the mystical outdoor world of rural Minnesota. As a farmer, writer, and elementary teacher he has spent much time enjoying and studying the natural world, as well as imparting the wonders of the wild to his children and grandchildren. The intricate web of life has inspired him to write several books. His first children's book, "The Flutermacawn" explores the concept of invasive, non-native species in a simple, colorful, yet positive manner. Melissa Woods is a free-lance artist and stay at home mom living in small town Minnesota. She is the young mother to three and married to her high school sweetheart, Stephen. She has always had a burning passion to create and enjoys all things artistic, especially interior design and abstract painting.
