Synopsis

Mercedes Harrigan, novice landlord, is a pro at cleaning up messy apartments but cleaning up after an elderly tenant dies presents a different dilemma. Threats against Sadie escalate as they come to the conclusion that her death was not due to old age and a three pack a day habit but rather a cleverly planned murder. When a second murder is made to look like a random mugging, Sadie knows she's on the right track. But can she expose the murderer before she winds up in one of her grandmother's caskets

J. W. Hodge loves committing murder on paper. She believes it's very therapeutic. She did grow up playing in her grandmother's mortuary so her view of death might be a little skewed. She and her husband are kept busy cleaning and repairing their many apartment complexes. When she's not cleaning or writing she's busy rescuing dogs, feral cats, and battling with a flock of wild turkeys for the rights to her back hillside. She's a member of Sisters in Crime and belongs to two local writer's critique groups.
