JOSH PACHTER is the author of more than a hundred short crime stories, which have appeared in EQMM, AHMM, and many other periodicals and anthologies. His first novel, Dutch T(h)reat, was published by Genius Books in 2023, and his first chapter book for younger readers, First Week Free at the Roomy Toilet, was published by Level Best in 2024. He also edits anthologies and translates fiction from Dutch and other languages. In 2020, he received the Short Mystery Fiction Society's Golden Derringer Award for Lifetime Achievement.
K.L. MURPHY is the author of Last Girl Missing and the forthcoming The Murderer's Girl (Detective Callie Forde Series), Her Sister's Death, a 2023 Silver Falchion Finalist for Best Mystery and the January 2023 Once Upon a Book Club Pick, as well as the Detective Cancini Mystery Series including A Guilty Mind, Stay of Execution, and The Last Sin. Her short stories are featured in several anthologies. A member of Mystery Writers of America, International Thriller Writers, Sisters in Crime, and James River Writers, she makes her home in Richmond, Virginia.
