This second book goes further in elaborating on the key concept of PSYCHE that has been mostly avoided in the continuous debate since Plato and Aristotle due to its undefinable content. All the states of Psyche are mentioned that assist in explaining the behavior of human beings resulting from the three root causes: Greed, Anger and Ignorance. Book Three “BUDDHIST FAITH AND WISDOM as a WAY OF LIFE” follows suit and concludes with a practical formula for living the good life on Earth.The aim is to make the reader aware of the things that seem so far-fetched at first sight, but turn out to be vital to the survival of humanity itself on closer study.The author hopes the books are presented in a friendly enough manner so that they catch the reader’s attention and entice him or her to ask for more.***A REVIEWER’S COMMENTS ON THE TRILOGYI think I understand the author's purpose: that by sharing all that he knows, he can somehow help other readers gain the enlightenment that he has gained, and learn to value the really important things in life beyond the superficial. But for a short book that's a lot of ground of cover! He starts with general schools of thought, moves into the major Western philosophers, than the central tenets of Buddhism, and then major aspects of the human psyche and psychology. It's clear the author has a lot of knowledge, but I tend to think that any reader who wants to gain what the author knows might do well to start here and then move on to the primary sources themselves (ie. read the writings of Epictetus, Hume, Foucault, Buddha etc. themselves).
