His wisdom was a gift given to Solomon by God. God owns all things. Even though we feel as though we have done the work, God is the actual giver of all good gifts (James 1:17). The positions we hold in our family, work, church, and our accomplishments in life are determined by His grace and love for us. As Christians, we hold the position of custodians and guardians of the gifts that God has provided. We are the stewards of His gifts to us.Good management receives God’s commendation and an increase in the amount managed. Bad management results in the loss of what one mismanaged (See Matthew 25). It is preferable to hear God say, “You did a good job; here is some more,” than to hear Him say, “You were slothful; I will take what you mismanaged and give it to someone who will wisely manage it.”We must continually give God the credit for the work that He has accomplished and continues to carry out in our lives.
