One day, Hare was bored out of his mind when his best friend, Yungbuck, suggested trying a new activity like writing, painting, or perhaps trying a musical instrument. That's all it took for Hare to find his father's old trumpet and start to play it, and play it, and play it some more! While wandering around trying to find anyone to perform for, Hare happened upon a town meeting; a meeting about him.The town's people were searching for a solution to the problem of the noise Hare was making. To him, he thought he played beautifully, but the reality was much different. This rejection crushed him as he tucked his father's horn under his arm and bolted into the forest where many dangers unknown to him waited. Also unknown to Hare, Owl the town's Mayor, alerted the regions magistrate, Hazel-Mae to help him since no one else could. She wanted to take him to a place where he could flourish.Hazel-Mae's big question remained however: Would young Harrison have what it takes to venture into the dark unknown and face certain dangers to make his dreams come true? This is the account of their journey toward that ultimate goal:
