Synopsis

Given the opportunity, everybody will rise to the occasion. On the evening of May 21st, 2004, Inspector Jacques Persil from the 5th Paris Precinct was summoned to the French National Library to investigate a hideous crime. He is convinced that he was chosen because he is the best detective in the lot. In reality, his boss sent him because his superiors, for their reasons, specifically requested a moron to handle the investigation. Jacques Persil spends the night in the Catacombs. He uncovers a project that can make France the most powerful nation on Earth. He survives real or imaginary demon attacks. Ultimately, the secretive organization hiding in the Catacombs since the French Revolution hires him. This autonomous spy agency transformed intelligence-gathering into an advanced game of odds. Centiki is the computer program the board uses to control the world from their headquarters in the underground. Jacques Persil is hired to become one of them. He would work for anybody who would pay wages decent enough so he could start raising a family. Our hero is stimulated to learn and improve himself. Until now, it was just games. Jacques Persil begins to earn his pay and wins the confidence of his boss and the president of France. His journey of discovery continues.
