Following his 2011 publication, The Yet Unknown Little Brown Book, Fergal once again uses poetry to give voice to a range of issues, feelings and emotions including love, expectation, sacrifice, loss, humanity, friendship, perception, poverty, illness, isolation, struggle, sadness, anger, reflection, government, Northern Irealnd, austerity, politics and many more besides.
He endeavours to capture, through observation, empathy and lived experience, feelings and emotions that give voice to his inner thinking about everything from the everday challenges to wider global issues. It is on one hand, commentary on what he sees around him whilst on the other, it is deep and personal journey into the inner reaches of his mind, heart and being.
With an acute ability to find the right words, he refelects on a world that we can easily relate too and produces a narrative that we can easily locate ourselves in.
