As a sales person, I’m always on the lookout for an “edge”. Something that works. Something I can use to help me make more sales. For years, I’ve heard sales trainers talk about “giving value” to clients. They make it seem like it’s easy to do. Like spin out a new housing report. Whip up a video. I used to hand out lists of recently sold properties. Or mail out a list of homes new on the market. Nowadays, most people can find this stuff online. Even worse: some buyers and sellers seemed annoyed after receiving my postcards or emails of “value”. If you work in sales and do not have something of value to share with clients, but still wish to keep in touch with them, why not send or post something FUNNY or humorous? Example: copy one of my old Facebook posts. Note: I don’t claim to have brainstormed all of the funny observations in this book. I discovered some on humor websites where the "Terms of Service" allows users the right to share, and then I added my own spin. But most are indeed my actual, original FB posts. Here are some examples not included in this book:I will never reveal how I REALLY feel about her.Alcohol: LOL My wife is like Det. Columbo. Even when she has all the evidence, she still wants to hear the truth from me.My son’s voicemail greeting: Hey, it's me. You know what to do: hang up and text me. So if your spouse happens to be in sales, this will be the kind of gift that will bring out a smile or two. Guaranteed.
