Synopsis

The design report of Umptysquatch-9, a single person propeller submarine. This was built by 30 high school students of Sussex County Technical School in Sparta, NJ. It was a 9 month project which began with conceptualizing and planning of the sub, which led to the manufacture and assembly of the whole thing. It was raced in Bethesda, Maryland in the 15th International Submarine Races.
