Synopsis

This volume starts with the new regulations imposed in 1934 by the then ruling body AIACR (Association International des Automobiles Clubs Reconnus) which requires up to 750 kilos dry weight regardless of fuel, oil, tyres and driver without any limitation on the engines. This led to the search for new materials to achieve the highest powers with the lowest weight. The prewar years are witnesses of the birth of the true ‘pursang’ and grandparents of the current F1 to show that domestic industries were the best. Here is when Germany introduced its famous silver arrows to make clear that its technology was superior in a rehearsal of what will be from 1939, but in more tragic terms.Jean Louis Malar has been illustrating racing cars, motorbikes and all kind of wheeled vehicle since his childhood with a specialpredilection for technical drawings and confer them shades and colours. He has been living in Barcelona since 2010, where he move in from his native Caribbean French spoken native island.#wheeledmilestones
