The purpose of the book is to examine the financial strategy of the Prophet (ﷺ). His generic sources were zakat (the annual due), usher (1/10th) of crops, khumas (1/20th) of spoils of war and general donations. The last item has no official limit. For example, Abu Bakr (RA) donated all his possession and Umer (RA) half of his ownership at one occasion. However, on the time of battles, the Prophet (ﷺ) used to ask for contingency contribution. The author has investigated two instances about the financial strategy of the Prophet (ﷺ): the battle of Hunain and the battle of Tabuk. On Hunain the spoils of war were in abundance. The distribution was a key question while on the Tabuk the resources were extremely scare so much so that 18 persons were sharing a ride of a camel. The Prophet (ﷺ) had managed them efficiently and skilfully. The book consists of three chapters: introduction, Hunain and Tabuk.
