Synopsis

The book contains a story which traces milestones of a journey from farmers’ field in a village to the super-sprawling residential complex of Dwarka in New Delhi along with behavioral as well as emotional relationship with co-travelers during different segments of the journey. Finally it explains the joy and excitement of reaching at an unexpected destination. The book has been written in Six Sections; First section, Introduction tells us a brief, about the author and the book. The second section, Inheritance, describes about the possessions, which farmers’ children received from parents. The third chapter is about the maternal family, and the Fourth, Land Acquisition deals the manner in which the land was acquired from the farmers for different purposes. The Fifth section, Alternative Livelihood, contains the alternative work that children of farmers are doing to earn Livelihood after acquisition of their land. The sixth chapter, Property disputes, describes property disputes between siblings of farmers.
