Immanuel Kant's a priori thought categories seem to have lost their validity through the emergence of evolutionary theory. This, at least, is the main claim of Evolutionary Epistemologists Konrad Lorenz (better known as a rbiologist and researcher of the behaviour of geese) and Gerhard Vollmer whose arguments and re-interpretations of Kant's fundamental principles are presented here contrastively.
