The seaport of Lowestoft in East Anglia is one of the most haunted places in England. Families roots run deep for hundreds of years and wrongs done by one generation steep past death and transcend into the present if the right opportunities present themselves. Claude Gooch inherits a dilapidated seafront mansion. He and his wife, Lucy Utting, start to renovate the house when a two hundred year old secret glory hole is discovered within. An unsolved murder is soon exposed and the ghosts of both families battle to their own end. Claude and Lucy are caught in the middle. There are local characters, atmosphere and some humour to add to the enjoyment of reading this novel.
