Rena DeLevie is the Chief Compassion Officer of Management For Millennials, a business dedicated to replacing fear in the workplace with compassion and accountability. She is the author of NTiP The 4-Step Formula For Not Taking It Personally, a Huffington Post columnist, and a TEDx presenter, “Using Compassion As A Business Tool.” Ms. DeLevie created Compassionate Management, the leadership methodology, based on what she wished she had experienced in her career as an art director, designer, and creative operations executive in the creative sector. Her experiences with 9/11 woke her out of a fear-based trance and led to her realization that compassion was an innate and effective business tool. She began to practice compassion and accountability with her colleagues and saw immediate changes in how they reacted; there was collaboration, laughter, and trust. With Compassionate Management, Ms. DeLevie combines her learnings from 30 years with Fortune 500 companies and 14 years as a practitioner of mindfulness and mindfulness meditation to show us the path to eliminate the fear-based culture so prevalent in corporate America. Through her presentations, workshops, and individual coaching, Ms. DeLevie is steadily empowering managers at every level to implement this new approach to leadership that is effective, efficient, and fun. 120 Ms. DeLevie’s empathetic and business-focused approach has led to her being given a few nicknames including, “Hippie MBA,” “COO of the Creative Process,” “The Vault,” and “How may I help you?” Watch her TEDxTalk: “Using Compassion As A Business Tool” Read her management column in Huffington Post: huffpost/ renadelevie.
