À propos de l'auteur

GLENDA DESCRIBES HERSELF as an entrepreneur, wellness expert, and learning junkie who is extremely passionate about helping the maximum number of people live healthier lives. She has spent the last twenty-four years in the wellness industry, studying exercise behaviour and trends, and is steadfast in her belief that we should all be able to achieve a happy life through a commitment to our holistic well-being. Glenda had a major turning point in her life when she stumbled upon the practice of mindfulness. As CEO and founder of Soulgenic, Glenda’s vision is take her unique Soulgenic wellness journey to the masses and reward people for their wellness through technology that is integrated with their existing way of life. The creation of Club Soulgenic, a fully integrated well-being and fitness club, is a fitting testament to the home of the brand and is synonymous with the values of Soulgenic online product. Prior to Soulgenic, Glenda was founder and director of the multiple-award-winning health club brand Healthhaus. She has over 200 club openings under her belt, so it’s safe to say she knows her way around a gym. Glenda was born in Scotland and is now based in a small island called Jersey in the Channel Islands near France. She is married to Jean, has a son called Kaden and a dog called Marley. She loves nothing more than walking the dog with her family on one of Jersey’s beautiful beaches, which she says is a mindful act all of its own. Glenda is a straight-talking businesswoman who is a regular guest speaker on radio and at conferences on all things well-being. Her personal interest in the factors that lead to entrepreneurial success resulted in her studying the role of mindfulness in developing resilience in entrepreneurs. She will complete her Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) this summer. Glenda’s favorite quote sums up her love for entrepreneurship. It comes from Drucker, who says: “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” And her take on the value of wellness is this: “Well, simply put, no one ever died from being too healthy!” ###
