Synopsis

The follow-up to the debut thriller in the Assassin series. Dan Stone, a contract assassin for the CIA, a man alone with few friends, is sent out on what may be a suicide mission. Dan is dropped into the Chihuahuan Desert to assassinate the head of the Sinaloa Cartel. His mission suddenly becomes more complex and dangerous. When his extraction is botched, he flees into the desert, where he gets lost, and death by dehydration threatens. There, he meets a shaman who shows him the spiritual dimension of life and how Dan is part of a larger story—a battle between good and evil, light and darkness. The shaman takes Dan on a spirit journey, and Dan’s world suddenly gets more complicated than he ever imagined. The Indian mystic sends Dan on an additional mission which challenges his sanity and may cost him his life. Along the way he tries to save the beautiful wife and children of the drug lord he had assassinated. Dan has to complete the tasks given him by the shaman without help from his CIA handlers and then try to make it out of the country on his own.If you’re a fan of Jack Reacher or Mitch Rapp, you’ll enjoy Dan Stone’s adventures in this action packed thriller.

À propos de l'auteur

After receiving a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Masters of Education, David began his working career as a teacher...until he was seduced by motorcycles. He threw himself into racing and left teaching to open a motorcycle dealership, thereby starting a dual career as motorcycle dealer and racer. After achieving some level of racing success, he realized his future did not lie on the track (not really built for the sport, being six feet, four inches tall). The motorcycle business expanded into the fitness business, and he went on to build a twenty-seven store regional chain. Since leaving the business world, he has begun writing full-time. David lives in Virginia with his wife and kids. When not writing, he can be found sailing his A Class catamaran sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. David has written three post apocalyptic novels in a series titled, "After the Fall". "The Shaman" is the second story in his new thriller series following the adventures of Dan Stone. The third book should be out by the end of 2018. Excerpts from "After the Fall" have been published in "A Thousand and One Stories", "Opening Line Literary 'Zine" and "Dead Guns Press".
