9781721705061: A Beginner's Guide to Magic Squares and Cubes

Synopsis

The book sets out in logical sequence some of the methods of constructing Magic Squares and Magic Cubes beginning with the smallest 3 x 3 version and then in stages up to the 9 x 9 version. It is a work for beginners in that it requires of the reader no knowledge of formulae or equations, but just simple arithmetic and a logical mind. The book includes five Magic Cubes and their construction which, to the best of the Author’s knowledge and belief, have never before been published. Each Chapter ends with a related puzzle and often a touch of humour. Those with an interest in the subject will find much in the book to delight in.
