The book has been properly written with an objective to assess the potential of insurance according to household income groups in rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir. It also aims to generate a socio-economic profile of the insured and uninsured population in rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir. The book also aims to study and analyze the awareness levels of the insured and uninsured regarding need for insurance, types of insurance available, insurance interest, benefits of insurance, and benefits of insurance investment. It involves an empirical investigation of the extent to which advertising affects sales. It also covers how quality service in insurance satisfies the customer and has a significant impact on increase in sales. I believe that our findings would be of great interest to the wide and diverse readership of the people.

Dr. Altaf Ahmad Dar born in Rathsoon Villagae, Budgam, Jammau and Kashmir ( India) is working as Assistant professor in the Department of Management Studies, Islamic University of Science and Technology. Author has done PhD management, MBA and Masters in Tourism management. He has more than 10 years of teaching experience at college and University level. Author has 20 research articles in national and international journal and three books in his credit. He has presented in many national and international conference. He has also worked as Resource person with Securities and Exchange Board of India.
