The previous two entitled "Another Spring" and "The Traveling Bird" were published in 2011 and 2014 respectively. Dr. Fleur Taher Tehrani, the daughter of Mr. Hassan Taher Tehrani and Mrs. Pourandokht Monfared (Tehrani), was born and raised in the city of Tehran, Iran. She lives in California, USA, with her spouse, Dr. Akbar Esfahani Torbat. Dr. Tehrani has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Arya-Mehr (Sharif) University of Technology in Tehran, Iran, MS, DIC, and PhD degrees, all in Electrical Engineering, from the University of London, UK. Dr. Tehrani is a tenured Professor of Electrical Engineering at California State University, Fullerton, USA. She has many inventions covered by issued patents and numerous publications in biomedical engineering. She is the sole inventor of several respiratory assist devices that are known as some of the most advanced devices used for respiration and oxygenation of patients in the intensive care units of hospitals. Despite pursuing a scientific and technical career, Dr. Tehrani has always been very interested in Persian literature. She has previously published two books of Persian poetry entitled “Another Spring” in 2011, by Publications in Psychology and Arts in Iran, and also “the Traveling Bird” in 2014, by Amazon.com. The present collection is a selection of her poems that have been mostly written in the last four years.
