Synopsis

This edition of The Graceful Exit: 10 Things You Need to Know, contains a Book Club Guide. Book clubs around the country are reading and meeting to talk about how to think about and plan a graceful exit; to embrace the elephant in the room and talk about death and dying - and our spiritual beliefs. This edition's Book Club Guide will help guide that discussion. Co-authors Mona Hanford and Adrienne Hand present a lot to think about and to process in the book, so many readers have found it useful to tackle this topic in three sessions: • Face Reality - Do Not Be Afraid• Make Wise Choices - Redefine Doing Everything• Hope at the End- Bidden or Unbidden, God is Present. As Dr. William H. Frist says in the book, the central question is, “How do I want to die?” He writes, “That is a tough place to start, but grounds the discussion in the reality that unless we act, our final days will be spent very much differently than we would like.”
