And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.” Matt.17:24-27Peter was sent to fish to find the money required to pay his tax and that of his master. As he went in obedience, he found the money in the mouth of the fish as His master has specified. There is the way with the owner of the vision to fish the finances required to run the vision you received from Him. You need to have a close relationship with the owner of the vision to be able to receive the instruction that reveals where the finance can be found. The story teaches us that any project one embarks upon requires finance to run it, and it takes faith after you have heard from the master. Don’t run a business or a project that was inspired by your lust or pride, and expect God to help you with finances in the name of ‘faith’ because it won’t work.
