After another record label rejection, Sierra Jane Fillmore, a beautiful bi-racial singer-songwriter with a rocky history of foster care and adoption, finds herself risking everything to change her life. She leaves New York City and moves to a random small town in New Mexico, searching for a revival of her heart and spirit. Through a chance encounter, she meets and falls in love with rock musician, Joshua McBride, who is a unique combination of Navajo and Irish. Sierra quickly learns that real love comes with a price. She becomes entangled with the close-knit and loving McBride family, who are consumed with grief, hurt and conflict over the mysterious and tragic disappearance of Callie, the wife of Josh’s identical twin brother, Cooper. Family life in their small town is less than ideal as Sierra and the McBride family struggle to find normalcy in the midst of abnormal circumstances. Josh’s public life as a rising rock star, Callie’s disappearance and Coop’s belief she is still alive, the father Donovan’s questionable choices, and the mother Isabella’s innate wisdom and strong connection with Navajo spirituality; all offer the possibility of resurrection for Sierra and the family in their quest to believe that love can heal all. They embark on a spiritual journey; delving into the mysteries of God, Native American Spirituality, Meditation, Mindfulness, Practice, and Law of Attraction.
