Justice Don Mitchell (Ret) was born in 1946 in St Kitts to a Grenadian-Vincentian father and an Anguillian-Kittitian mother, and grew up in Trinidad and Jamaica. He finished his education in England in the days before there was a Law School in the West Indies. After practising law in St Kitts and Anguilla for some 30 years, he retired to become a High Court Judge, and subsequently acted on the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court of Appeal before his retirement in 2013. He has served the region not only as a Judge but also by providing historical and other information on his websites http://books.ai/ and http://donmitchellcbeqc.blogspot.com/ He taught advanced level law at the 6th Form of the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive school for 8 years until his replacement by barrister Stanley E Reid. Jasmin Redhead is at Attorney at Law from Grenada. She is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus Barbados, the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago and of the Hofstra University in New York where she obtained a Masters Degree in Family Law. Ms. Redhead is admitted to both the Grenada and New York Bar. Her areas of focus while residing in New York from 1996 to 2009 were seeking alternatives to incarceration in the city’s criminal justice system for juvenile offenders and working in the Family Courts. She currently works as the in-house attorney for Grenada’s Legal Aid and Counselling Clinic, with particular focus on family-related matters and also serves as an adjunct lecturer in Law at the T. A. Marryshow Community College. Ms Redhead has co-authored the The Grenada Advanced level CAPE Law series with Anguillan author and retired Judge Don Mitchell CBE. The books co-written by them are: The Law of Contract, The Law of Tort, and The Law of Real Property.
