À propos de l'auteur

Musician, teacher, researcher and composer, Marcello Fantoni has always focused his attention between research, teaching and giving concerts. His continuous interest in searching and achieving a deeper understanding of the guitar's repertoire led him to rediscover many masterpieces written by several authors from different ages. Between 2010 and 2018 he recorded and released six CDs with Naxos and Dynamic labels for solo guitar and with chamber music for guitar by Manuel Castillo, Luigi Moretti, Luigi Rinaldo Legnani, Tomás Marco. All these publications has been often world premiere recordings. He attended the Conservatory "G. Verdi" of Milan and in the Conservatory "L. Cherubini" in Florence achieving top marks cum Laude. He has always chosen very high quality musical contexts for his concerts playing as soloist or together with many musicians with different musical backgrounds, giving concerts both in Italy and abroad facing a repertoire ranging from Renaissance music up to contemporary music and jazz. He got a really great experience in teaching classical guitar starting to do it since 1993. He got in 2008 an open ended contract with the Ministry of Education for teaching classical guitar in the public secondary school. Moreover he also teaches classical guitar in Pre-Afam Guitar courses in "Giacomo Puccini" Conservatory of Music in Gallarate (VA).
