“Autumn, look at that in the distance. It looks like a box or something square. If that’s a rock formation, it’s a perfect shape. Odd.”“It looks like a briefcase in shape, doesn’t it?” Autumn observed. “Let’s get a closer look. We’ll have to climb over that pile of rocks about 50 feet in to get to it. Good thing we wore our rough and ready, water proof, guano resistant, hiking boots,” she chuckled. “Sally, I’ll shine the light for you to cross, then you shine if for me. That way we don’t have to struggle so with finding our way and traversing that rocky obstacle course.”“Sounds like a plan.” She got to the pile and instructed Autumn to shine it a little to the right. “I see something over there. Can’t tell what it is. OMG, she gasped. “Oh, oh. Don’t like the looks of that.”Autumn directed her attention to where Sally was looking. They walked over to the macabre scene. In the middle of the rock pile was a skeletal hand reaching up through the rocks. “Don’t suppose it would do any good to check for a pulse. Even less good to do CPR. Don’t you think?” Autumn raised her eyebrow and grinned when she turned to Sally. “We better call the Sheriff.”
