Synopsis

Chief Petty Officer Dion Lesage after twenty-eight years of service retired, and walked out the gate, “What Now?” He asked himself. Finding and diffusing explosive devices, the risk taking, it was a high like no other. He heads home to Louisiana and reconnects with his old friend Gerry and makes a new friend in Nick. A new direction in life is a common theme for each one. Together, they plan a road trip. Dion suggest they journey to the American Southwest, a landscape of extremes, wherein the road to begin again might be found. He dubs this the farside of Vegas. The Southwest is replete with stories of boom to bust. Seeking treasure is a consuming endeavor. Holding on to treasure and reaping the benefits thereof, often proves impossible. The challenge: Will the treasure remain a mirage, always visible, but fading into the distance as one draws near? It’s a question of the heart for our three travelers.
