She became a successful business woman with her Bye-Lo Baby Doll, nicknamed the “Million Dollar Baby”. Facing deprivation again during the Great Depression, she kept a positive attitude and found creative solutions to the challenges she faced. She was a supportive friend, mother, and, later, wife and partner to another sculptor, Eugene Morahan. In her letters, Grace opines on women’s issues, fashion, art, literature, diet, family - interests common to women of all ages and eras.
