Synopsis

Stress. Anxiety. Fear. Do they haunt you? Maybe your pain has exhausted your family. Or your spouse. Maybe it has even stripped you of the will to live. Do you yearn to live without the pain? Maybe you can’t even imagine life without it—that possibility seems hopeless. Whisper to Us will show you that anxiety coming from deep pain can, in fact, be eliminated. How can this happen? The answer is not in a religious venue . . . or a religious song . . . or sheer determination on your part. Your hope for healing has been relegated to a whisper reserved only for your ear. And that whisper can come from only one person. Jesus. In that whisper you will be invited to a challenge unlike all else. One that causes everything you believe about yourself, others, and religion to disintegrate. At last, your soul will relish Jesus’s whispers of hope for healing.

À propos de l'auteur

Ivette Ellis’s twenties were filled with suffocating grief, unresolved anger, and post-traumatic stress disorder. By her mid-thirties, her health severely deteriorated because of the stress of unforgiveness. Providentially, the door to her healing and a bright future was unlocked at that time through a choice to forgive. Now with her God-given creativity, she seeks to help others untie their emotional knots by following a path of forgiveness. A behavior health social worker, Ivette earned a master’s degree of social work from the University of Alabama and a bachelor’s degree of ministry from Safe Harbor Institute. She received a first-place award for short nonfiction in the 2017 Georgia Peach Writer’s Contest and is a contributing author in several anthologies. When she isn’t writing, she shares her family’s enthusiasm for all things outdoors, a good jelly doughnut, and jet skiing in the summers.
