She wrote and illustrated the first edition of this book when she was ten years old as a Christmas gift for her grandparents. Elina is creating a series of Terry The Tiger Books, and recreated the illustrations for this second edition.

Elina originally wrote and illustrated this story in 2017 when she found herself not knowing what to give her grandparents for Christmas. This story became their gift. She also gave a copy of her book to Brian and Martha Hoeppner, who read it to their grandson. Elina created new illustrations for this second edition, and is working on a sequel. Elina is fourteen years old, shares a birthday with her twin sister and Sinterklaas (The Dutch Santa). Maybe her birthday accounts for her love of giving gifts.
