Synopsis

An isolated, high mountain village of indigenous people called the Mokie lose their Shaman. With no Shaman to guide them, the Mokie begin losing their ancient, tried and true, happy ways of living; the young Mokie grow up without a Shaman to guide them, and begin crossing the Green Mountains to settle in the cities on the other side. The older Mokie mourn the loss of their young people and become more and more hopeless until one day in the middle of winter, around the time of the winter solstice, a blizzard blows a black crow and an odd, surprising newcomer into their village. Strangers were rare in the isolated little village high in the mountains, but the Mokie put out their best manners for the odd stranger, for who knows, maybe he is the new Shaman they need to save their old traditions and change their way of life. The Green Mountain Shaman is now out on audio book! Reading the Green Mountain Shaman is Kayvan Beklik , a London based actor and film maker. Kayvan began at Oxford, but life led him in another direction, and he attended The Lee Strasburg Theatre, and The City Literary Institute. His film, “Lights Out”, is a Hamburg International Short Film Festival Official Selection for 2016.
