Perhaps the most transcendent of all statements in Scripture is that mortal man should "become partakers of the divine nature" (2 Peter 1:4). God has come out of a past eternity to create the world, and to create Man in His image. This same Creator God has, astoundingly, also become "manifest in flesh" in the Person of the Christ, and has provided for the redemption of mankind in the Cross of Calvary. In an almost incomprehensible culmination of His grace and love, God has given the "unspeakable free gift" of His Spirit to all those who come to Him through Christ. This book draws upon scripture to show the power and eternal place of the indwelling Holy Spirit, and the effect of His "quiet" service to liberate the Christian from the widespread error and confusion of Christendom in this early 21st century. In an excerpt from the chapter "Sons of God" we have this: "I believe that, with many if not most Christians, the place of the Lord as Savior is seen, and the place of the Father as representing God (“to us there is one God, the Father”—1 Corinthians 8:6) is essentially recognized; but, the place of the Holy Spirit appears, perhaps, a bit vague. Yet, without His presence and power we cannot be sons of God (“for as many as are led by [the] Spirit of God, these are sons of God”—Romans 8:14), we cannot enter into proper relationship with the Lord (“if any one has not [the] Spirit of Christ he is not of him”—Romans 8:9), we cannot properly walk righteously here (“If we live by the Spirit, let us walk also by the Spirit”—Galatians 5:25) and we cannot become the inheritors of eternal life (He is “the Spirit of life”—Romans 8:2)." This book should provide a considerable enjoyment in respect of the contemplation of the "unspeakable" service of the blessed Holy Spirit.

Keith Petersen has been publishing magazine and newspaper articles and stories locally for over 30 years. This is his first foray into publishing a book. He was raised in a fundamental Christian household, and now lives in a Dutch Colonial directly behind the family house in which his Dad had also been raised and had then bought from his mother. He defiantly left home at 18 and then at the age of 27 surrendered to the Lord Jesus. Fifteen years later the same grace of God provided him with the blessings of a wife—Caroline. He now has two children—Corinne 21 as this book is published and Daniel 16. In 1971 he began at the age of 21 working full-time in the family business started by his Dad in 1956. Today, he and his brother Doug operate this 62+ year-old business in Central New Jersey, USA. If this book provides Christian joy and in any further way deepens your sense of all that we as Christians have eternally in Christ; similar ministry as well as some of the loveliest hymns in Christi-anity can be found at: www.bible-ministry.com
