Derek C. Lott in his freshman year as an author has been speaking on the subject of communication as part of his personal and professional development methodology that he has been perfecting over 20 years. A career veteran of the high tech and retail grocery industries, Lott has chosen to capture his effective philosophies for a broader audience. Lott has spoken to various audiences from academia to industry to community. To help him further hone his skills Lott joined a Toast-masters Club in 2013. After completing the curriculum, he identified how he could help others improve their speaking skills. Thus, the creation of Say It Well, the proven approach to developing, organizing and tailoring content for any given audience. Lott lives in the Florida area with his wife of 26 years. They have three children, Kayla, Kaitlin and David.
