Don’t like your job? Start your own business. You are so good at that. You should start your own business. Stop slaving away 60-70 hours a week for them and start your own business!
We hear something like this nearly every day. On the job, in church, and from family and friends. Today, there are more entrepreneurial programs popping up in colleges across the nation and experts everywhere telling you to just do it! You probably know a few people who at least have side hustles or a small business. They’re generally easy to start, but running and growing a business is a whole different story. It’s not easy, but it can be very rewarding.
Is it for you? Can you weather the storm to stay in business? What does it take to make a decent living and not throw in the towel?
Let Me Get My Coffee! Then We’ll Talk Business is not about choosing your legal structure, writing the business plan, raising capital or bank financing. There are tons of books out there on this already. This book is about how I started my latest venture—BluePrint Resumes & Consulting— what I did wrong and what I did right to build a highly profitable operation, how I stayed in business during the most difficult times and how I continued to make a great living 14 years and counting!

Wendy Denise Steele is an author, entrepreneur, and a certified business and career coach/consultant. She began her literary career in 2004 with her first novel about online dating titled: Behind The Screen (under the pen name Stormy Steele). Although Wendy still plans to continue writing fiction, after launching and operating her business in the career services industry for nearly 14 years, she realized there is still a need to help entrepreneurs who are struggling to grow a profitable business. For this reason, she decided to join the non-fiction genre with Let Me Get My Coffee! Then We'll Talk Business. And the Lessons I Learned as an Entrepreneur. Wendy is also passionate about helping job seekers stay abreast of changes in the market. This prompted the self-help book: Why Your Resume Isn't Working; the first in the Make It Work Series. Wendy is the first to ever build a resume writing firm with multiple locations around the U.S. She conducts workshops for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, universities and non-profit organizations as well. Staying active in the business and career community, Wendy is a member of several business and industry organizations including National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches (PARW) and the National Resume Writers Association (NRWA). She was recently featured on All Business Media FM. She is an avid foodie, health and wellness advocate and loves to travel around the world. Wendy lives in the Atlanta suburb of Marietta, GA with her husband Craig, daughter and son Whitney and Jeremy and is now a new, proud grandparent of two beautiful little girls.
