Synopsis

They usually received little food or love. Most had to work hard and often were beaten and treated meanly. Many of the children never got a proper education and had a hard time keeping a job as adults. This books tells the story of a particular little boy who overcomes his difficult beginnings and grows up to become a successful, cheerful man who loves his wife and children and helps family, friends and strangers.
