Joe Horse is on parole with a problem. There are two dead women on the floor of his living room. Alone and desperate, he calls his friend the Mover. Together they devise a plan to get rid of the bodies. When discovered by the police the women appear to be polar opposites. The tall beautiful blond is wearing a sexy low cut black evening dress while the smaller plain brunette is attired in jeans and a sweatshirt. Assigned to the case is the thoroughly corrupt Fishnet Milligan, an opportunistic psychopath detective. The delusional Milligan, who alternates between reality and invented fantasy, views this case as a stepping stone that will catapult him to great heights… a superstar status he will stop at nothing to attain. The father of one of the women is a career mafia assassin. The other is the offspring of a professional couple. Both parents have unique methods of applying pressure to Detective Sergeant Al Markie of the Homicide Squad, who is charged with supervising the team tasked with unraveling the mystery. The detectives enter into an arena few are exposed to. It is a universe in which exploitation is the norm, strength rules and a thirst for revenge reigns supreme. It is a world Markie knows well. As the detectives search for the truth, they encounter a colorful assortment of characters that include the owner an escort service, street junkies, and a serial killing mob hit man known as The Death Maker. As the bodies begin to pile up little attention is paid to the lunatic Detective Milligan who continuously oversteps ethical boundaries. The twists and turns of this tale of mayhem is sure to keep the reader in suspense. It is a page turning account that shines a light into the secret lives of those everyday people that quietly walk among us. The explosive ending is one that you are sure to remember.
