Synopsis
The Church today is full of people who love God but have no idea what they believe about God other than that He loves them. The teaching that God loves everyone so much that He sent Jesus to die for us is the beginning of our faith and absolutely necessary to become part of Christ’s body on the earth. However, in order to grow more with God, it is also necessary for the believer to begin to align their believing with the Word of God. In a church world that is dominated by theological and denominational tradition, the writer of Hebrews gives us clear foundational doctrine for the New Testament Church today. These six fundamental doctrines are the basis on which the Church has been set. Without a good understanding of these elementary principles, the growth of the Church will be stagnant, because we are trying to build something on a foundation different from what the Word instructs.
