Synopsis

Ex-cop James Stone, now a talent scout for Capitol Records, is sent to San Francisco in 1967 to scour this hotbed of musical originality for new acts. He also finds it’s a breeding ground for the unspeakable. He crosses paths with The King, a national-level drug trader keen to break into psychedelics. Then a face from the past shows up at the Free Clinic where Stone’s doctor girlfriend works. This is Rhonda, last seen when he pulled her from a den of perverts ten years ago. Now she finds the remains of her boyfriend’s LSD-laced dispute with a love rival. Stone is entangled in a new strain of evil. Ultimately, lives are on the line as The King hunts for $50,000 in missing drug money. Its fate brings a touch of transcendental irony to a story of murder, madness and mayhem in the Summer of Love.
