Written by a child for children!
Patsy the Poodle may be small and shy, but she’s also friendly and smart. And she has just been adopted into a new home where she finds love and acceptance with her new family. However, things aren’t perfect.
When Patsy is confronted by Baxter, a bulldog who bullies, she learns that bullies have feelings, too. With the help of her doggie friends, Patsy stands up to Baxter, and in the process, she discovers that because Baxter felt small on the inside, he decided to act big and mean on the outside.
Through Patsy’s brave story, we learn that you don’t need to be mean to others to get their attention and that sometimes, those who resist kindness are the ones who need it the most.

You will adore this child author and her inspiring story!ReviewPatsy the Poodle is a friend to all! I love Alaina’s story and can’t wait for many children (and adults!) to be encouraged and empowered by her gifted storytelling. Patsy the Poodle and her animal friends face many of the same challenges today’s children face, and together, they implement the leading bullying prevention strategies. I love how they encourage empathy and are determined to be “upstanders” instead of bystanders, and I especially love how they find the courage to look beyond what they see on the outside and become a friend to everyone, including the bullies themselves.
Alaina has shown great maturity in sharing her own life lessons with others, and, even at her young age, has the writing ability to communicate a strong, captivating message for others. This is a great book for both children and their parents, who often need to be reminded of these truths as well. Thank you, Alaina, for sharing. Can’t wait to read your next story!

paperback. Etat : Good. Nettleship, Melissa (illustrateur). Our good condition books are generally good for reading but not for gifting or collecting. They could have imperfections such as creasing, fanning, inscriptions, margin notes, yellowing, staining on edge or cover or pages, bumps, scuffs, etc etc (sometimes multiple of these). It's a wide category that encompasses anything that isn't almost-new down to anything that is slightly better than poor. We would NOT recommend gifting Good books - these should be considered reading copies. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only.
