Authority is not a popular topic. If we're honest, most of us will say we desire to do as we please and dislike being told what to do. Part of this resistance is good in that we do not want to be led astray or be harmed by others. There is a healthy desire to be independent. But there is also part of us that rebels against authority, even good authority.

The reality is that understanding and practicing biblical principles of authority will bring God's blessing on our lives. There is actually safety and peace associated with practicing these principles.

This four-session study will focuses on "positional authority," which is being under the authority of others. Being willing to submit to positional authority and a willingness to be accountable are foundational to achieving the spiritual authority God desires us to have, and living the abundant life His authority empowers us to live.

Lou Turner wrote the Living Life God's Way discipleship series out of his passion for men to discover God, and to get to know Him and what He has for them. The studies are the culmination of Lou's own journey-a life of seeking God, studying His Word, memorizing Scripture and meditating on it, and practical experience with family, community, marketplace work, and Christian ministry. Lou and his wife Joan have three grown children and 10 grandchildren, and make their home in Phoenix, Arizona.
