I started with picture books-stories that danced to the rhythm of verse-and now I'm venturing into the realm of middle-grade fiction, with new adventures on the horizon starting this December.My home is a cozy homestead in the heart of East Tennessee where my wife and I live among a playful quartet of dogs, a rather content cat, and a lively flock of 90 chickens. When the pen rests, you might find me tending to our garden, casting a line into a peaceful stream, or shaping wood into something new.Books, to me, are like those chickens in our yard-each starts with a simple idea and grows into something to be shared with the world.
