Synopsis

Jane is a teacher and single mom, who works hard at making the best life possible for her two teenaged children. Her daughter is bright and popular and excels at most things. However, she fears she is losing her son who is much less motivated and has begun to hang around with a bad crowd.

When a street gang breaks into her house and assaults Jane, the life she has fought to build crumbles around her.

A desperate plea from her daughter brings an old friend, Ricardo, back into their lives. However, his sudden appearance brings turmoil to an already traumatic and volatile situation as he begins to secretly hunt down the gang members. Though Jane refuses to involve the police Ricardo convinces her to attend a special group therapy session.

At therapy Jane meets others who have gone through similar experiences. An uneasy friendship forms and they are drawn into the plans of a young exotic dancer who has targeted her attacker for revenge. But when their young friend is murdered, the group bans together to bring her attacker down.

Together they plan to distribute a little group therapy of their own.
