In Acts 14, as Paul and Barnabas are planting early churches, their concern was not to make converts, but to make disciples of Jesus. From that day until now, our primary concern as Christians has been to follow Jesus’ command to ‘Go and make disciples.’ But in our Western Churches, we’ve largely gotten away from this command and turned the focus of our lives and our churches onto things God never intended for us to focus on.
